SYNTECS Project is a HorizonEurope project focusing on establishing efficient, digitally controlled laser surface texturing to replace conventional surface treatments, that currently involve higher energy and chemical resources consumption as well as waste produced. 3drivers takes part in this project as a scientific partner for the development of an LCA-CAD tool to support in guided design for surface engineering module development.
The Syntecs project offers multiple impacts within the scientific, economic and social sectors. As an example, 3drivers estimates 2.5M€ post-project revenue from DSE (design for surface engineering) license sales. Discover this here.
