On May 13, 3drivers participated on the opening webinar of TransformEC project, an initiative promoted by Smart Waste Portugal, CECOLAB Circular Economy and CVR – Centro para a Valorização de Resíduos, with the aim of accelerating the manufacturing industry’s transition to the circular economy, promoting innovation, sustainability and competitiveness in national SMEs.

The session was marked by reflections on circularity as a competitive advantage, addressing the opportunities for creating value through the circular economy, with emphasis on the economic, environmental and strategic drivers, and their influence on the transition of companies to circular models. The session also highlighted the importance of certain key factors for increasing competitiveness, reducing costs and promoting new business models, including a critical analysis of the circular maturity of Portuguese companies and the need for more focused diagnoses, geared towards specific value chains and sectors.
