The final report of the project developed by Magellan Circle and 3drivers Quadrante, commissioned by the European Environment Agency, dedicated to assessing the sustainable uses of bio-based waste in Europe, is now available!

This study was developed within the update of the European Bioeconomy Strategy 2025, aiming to identify opportunities to strengthen circularity, promote the recovery of bio-based waste, and support its progression in the waste hierarchy, minimizing environmental impacts and maximizing technical and economic value.

The study included the analysis of the current generation, collection, and treatment systems, the assessment of technological options, as well as the identification of opportunities, barriers, and policy framework in need.
