This project is part of the development of the FoC – Future of Construction project led by BUILT CoLAB, which in turn aims to implement a structured action plan that promotes digital transformation, carbon neutrality, the circular economy, innovation and the qualification and certification of skills.

The project aims to define a Sectoral Agenda for carbon neutrality and the circular economy, which is essential for clarifying a transition path for the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) sector, including a vision and a set of guiding actions for capacity building. To this end, the project included the following activities:

1. Production of the “Carbon Handprint” Methodological Guide (holistic environmental performance target) for the AEC sector;
2. “Carbon Handprint” Brochure for the AEC Sector;
3. International Benchmark Report;
4. Development of the Sectoral Agenda for Carbon Neutrality and the Circular Economy.

“Carbon Handprint” works as a marketing and communication tool and is also a means of identifying whether there is a need to continue developing the product itself in order to create a handprint.
