This environmental education project, financed by the Environmental Fund, aimed to train university students in the concepts and principles of the Circular Economy and their practical application in a real context to boost their implementation in the day-to-day lives of this target audience.
As part of this project, it is worth highlighting the development of the Circular101x online course (MOOC), hosted on Técnico’s platform, which provides all participants with a curriculum on the Circular Economy and includes concepts, case studies, exercises, and interviews with leaders in this field. There was also the Porto Circular Hackathon, a competition where participants worked in teams to find solutions to the challenges facing the city of Porto in its transition to a Circular Economy. The event consisted of launching concrete challenges around Porto’s circular economy roadmap and the subsequent exploration and practical development of ideas, products or services, applied to the food sector.
In addition, various workshops were held in different regions of the country, particularly in higher education institutions, with the aim of presenting the concepts and practical examples of the Circular.
