This project aimed to provide Madeira with communication channels to bring together and promote collaborative action by the main players in the circular economy, including civil society, companies, public administration, and the scientific community.
This Platform contains useful information that can serve as a guide for the different regional players to leverage circularity in their areas, including best practice guides that lead to the efficient use of resources along their respective value chains and the reintroduction of these resources into the market; relevant news and events; examples of circular projects; circular performance diagnostic tools; and active funding and regulatory opportunities.
The implementation of Madeira Circular Platform will have the potential to contribute to the circularity commitments made by the Regional Government of Madeira through the Madeira Circular Agenda, highlighting the specific challenges and opportunities of the Region. The Platform should therefore enable the development of a regional sustainability culture among the various stakeholders involved.
